Tutorial Week 9

Requirements

Listen to week 8's lectures on Microsoft .NET. Search for available information on existing or planned .NET web services, preferably about how they work. You can refer to the Microsoft .NET web site http://www.microsoft.com/net/, or search from third party sites. Summarise the information you find (see guidelines below).

The purpose of your solutions is for you to show that:

  1. You understand the lectures,
  2. You have the capability of independently searching and understanding information on the technologies, and
  3. You can relate what you find out with the material from the lectures.

The purpose of your discussions is for you to show that:

  1. You have the willingness to share what you have learnt with others,
  2. You have the capability to listen and learn from what others are describing, and
  3. You can relate what others are saying to what you know.

Some guidelines

In some cases, you may not have the knowledge or experience to understand everything you read. You should concentrate on extracting what you CAN understand, rather than being worried about what you CANNOT understand. This is a very important skill in living in a constantly-evolving, information-intensive field like Internet Science and Technology.

Requirements for completing the exercise is described in the guidelines to tutorial assessment.
