Requirements
Listen to lectures week 5 and complete topic reading 5, The New Methodology by Martin Fowler.
Relate your experiences with programming and software development (eg. in your undergraduate units) to the principles and approaches of the new agile methodologies. If you can, concentrate on your experiences working with others in software development. Discuss how you would perform if you were asked to adopt these principles and approaches.
The purpose of your solutions is for you to show that:
- You understand the basic principles and approaches to agile software development methodologies,
- You are able to relate these principles and approaches to the way you do software development, and
- You can see their benefits and drawbacks.
The purpose of your discussions is for you to show that:
- You have the willingness to share your thoughts on your approaches to software development and on the new agile methodologies,
- You have the capability to listen and learn from how others think of agile methodologies, and
- You are able to learn about the appropriateness of the new methodologies by listening to different views on them.
