Pass Year Exam
The exam in 2000 is not relevant. The unit content have changed quite considerably. The unit did not exist prior to 2000.
Sample Exam
Here is a sample exam (in PDF or MS DOC) indicating what this year's exam will be like. The questions in the final exam will not be the same, but the style and technical difficulty will be similar.
General Information
The exam questions will total 120 marks. Part I will consist of questions between 5 to 10 marks each, and Part II will consist of two questions of 20 marks each. It is expected that students will roughly average one minute per mark, so will finish in approximately 2 hours, even though the exam is scheduled for three hours.
Students should answer the questions in the space provided below the questions. There are ample space provided (eg. 5-mark questions have at least a whole page allocated for answers) and students should not use the space provided as an indication of the length of the answers required. Read each question carefully and answer them directly.
More information about the exam will be provided in lectures in Week 13. Please attend the lectures and consult the lecture notes.
